Carrot Apple Smoothie

There are days (like when you’ve had a monstrous birthday breakfast the day before) that you know you should take it easy. I’m not talking about detox easy, more like, eat a bit more fruits and veggies kind of easy. That day being today for me.

I love smoothies and make them pretty much daily with whatever we have in the house. So today I decided to make one of Z’s favorites, and share it with you.

What makes this smoothie different from what you’ll find if you google “carrot apple smoothie” is that I like my smoothies creamy and my juices…juicy. So this contains milk. I use cow’s milk, but feel free to use soy, almond, coconut, whatever your thing is. I find the creaminess really gives this drink a transformative power that you don’t normally find in drinks that contain carrots.

This is what you need:

1 carrot, peeled and sliced thin

1 apple, peeled and diced

1/8 tea cinnamon

1 tea agave or honey

1 cup milk

Blend and serve.

This drink is easy, delicious and refreshing. It’ll have you thinking of poolside.
