Tasha’s Corner: German Apple Cake

German Apple CakeAs a semi-regular addition to this blog I usually veer towards the healthy or home made for my posts. Something that I grew or a rant on coconut oil and its many benefits. In this vein I was going to write about how I made Jared do a Goop detox. And then how I quit after three days of headaches.
Instead of all that crap I thought it’s winter, and I am tired and overwhelmed as most people are, so I made a cake for dinner tonight at our best friends house.  Erin, my sister and owner of this blog, gave me those adorable french liners that you get at bakeries. The gold and brown things. I thought it was time to use one, and then no clean up!
I did not add agave instead of sugar, or apple sauce instead of eggs, or coconut oil in any way. This is all butter and fat. I even added a little more butter and cinnamon and almost a teaspoon more vanilla. I used the wrong apples and ate many sugar coated slices as I went. This is Martha’s full fat German Apple Cake. Below is the recipe, and I bet you have all the ingredients in your house, because I never have anything and I had these. Enjoy!
