Today is still blizzarding and if you see my last post you’ll know that Z and I aren’t exactly big fans of the cold but with a plethora of the white stuff we just couldn’t keep out of the kitchen (or outside).
So to keep my kid happy and do something fun and easy that didn’t include frostbite we made snow ice cream. It’s super easy, you can add flavors, sprinkles, etc to your hearts content.
We made vanilla with sprinkles. I have an action shot of Z devouring it…
This is what you need;
1 bowlful of snow (about 2 cups)
4 tbsp sugar
1/2 tea vanilla extract
1/2 cup of milk
Gather your snow. Add sugar, then milk and extract. Stir until you get a creamy consistency. This is not really like ice cream, more like a milk slush.
Add toppings and serve!
A milk free option would be to take snow and add juice.
For chocolate, make chocolate milk first then add to snow mixture
And so on and so forth.
Happy Snow Day everyone!
Ha, ha…we’re doing the same thing here this afternoon & I was going to blog about it too! lol Looks good! Did Miss Z get a haircut?? She looks so grown up! Adorable 🙂
I think snow ice cream is a must today! She did get a haircut! Now her hair can remain separate from the cooking process 🙂
What a cute pic of Z!
Thanks! Did you find the granola recipe?
