I don’t know about you, but this past week WORE ME OUT. We had the fourth, we had Zara’s big bad birthday party, we had family on both sides staying with us, AND, we have a super moody 3 year old. I sort of wanted to hide in a corner sometimes. BUT, it’s a new week, and while I’m several days into the week AND I haven’t posted in what feels like FOREVER to me, my house feels like it has returned to relative normal (even though my soon-to-be preschooler is still driving me a bit mad).
The only thing I haven’t done is catch up on sleep. I’ve slept, but I haven’t really felt rested. So this morning, once again waking up in a haze of a large to-do list, I decided, come on, get your shit together. Make a smoothie that will kick your butt back into gear and let this be the last day that you complain about being tired (this week).
So that’s what I did. I made an AMAZING smoothie, that is perfect for breakfast, and your kid just might like it too (mine did – I had to make two!)
This is what you’ll need;
3 mini bananas OR 1 regular
a handful of oats
small piece of fresh ginger
1/2 tbsp honey
1/4 cup milk (or use yogurt)
Mix in a blender or vitamix or whatever you have.
Garnish with fresh mint or lemon.
